....Although the H1N1 pandemic has proven to be a mild one so far, it would be a mistake to downplay the threat it poses, says one of Canada's top public health experts.......Canada must not repeat the mistakes that were made during past public health emergencies, such as the SARS outbreak and the tainted blood scandal, and that the fundamental ethos of public health — the precautionary principle — must be applied.....
